Lois E. Tullis, 79, of Mechanicsburg passed away, Friday, March 14, 2008 in the Wellington Nursing Care Center Urbana.

She was born June 1, 1928 in Mechanicsburg the daughter of

Harold & Catherine (Robinson) Tullis.

Lois was a 1946 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She spent her career with Insurance companies in Columbus and Springfield, and she retired as Claim’s Adjuster from American States Insurance Company. She was a member of the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church, the 20th Century Literary Club, the Harvesters Club, the Dizzy Dozen Card Club and the Goshen Garden Club.

Lois is survived by her brother, Lowell (Mary Catherine) Tullis of Mechanicsburg, her sisters, Jean Rutan of Mechanicsburg, Phyllis McMahill of Mechanicsburg and Nancy Bouton of Mt. Vernon; 13 nieces & nephews, a special nephew, Phil McMahill of Mechanicsburg; as well as several great nieces & nephews and great great nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two great nieces, Nicole McMahill and Tara Thompson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2008 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON funeral home Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Harley Roston officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Serving as pall bearers, John Tullis, Bob Rutan, Keith Rutan, Duane Rutan, Pat McMahill, Paul McMahill, Phil McMahill & Aaron Bouton.
