So very sorry for your loss. I’m sure you’ve seen the impact she’s had on others & what a wonderful legacy she leaves with people but especially her children. There’s a line in a song ‘One day when I stand before you & look back on the life I lived, I can’t wait to enjoy the view & see how all the pieces fit’. We won’t understand until we meet up with her again in heaven. Until then, I pray you find peace & comfort of the Holy Spirit.

My thoughts and prayers are with Lori’s family. Although I have only met her a few times, I knew her father well and knew his love for his family. Words cannot describe the feeling of losing a family member, and I will continue to pray for her.

Lisa Erickson-Hale - Sep 24, 2013

I feel so heartbroken for you all. Lori was one of the shiniest people that I ever met. We bonded at work and became friends. Then, we just kept texting each other and trying to figure out a time for us to get together with the kids. We wanted her daughters to hang out together with my sons and swim in my pool. We just couldn’t get a good time right. The last time we tried she already had plans for the zoo. I always thought there would be a next time and wasn’t worried. This really hit home with me to cherish every minute you can with your friends and family. I’m sure you all share this feeling with me. I know what a blessing she was to you all and may God help you through this. Please don’t hesitate to call on me for help with anything as I would enjoy being of assistance. My number is 937-450-3943. I will be praying for your hearts to heal. God bless you and in Christian love, Lisa Erickson-Hale

I know your hearts are heavy. Our hearts are heavy here at the hospital also. I worked with Lori over 18 yrs ago and she was a wonderful nurse. Lori always had a smile and gentle touch for all that she cared for and for those she worked for. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. There is now a special angel in heaven to watch over you all.

Olivia Westfall (Champ) - Sep 23, 2013

First, I’m sorry this is an email, but I know today will be a long one, and I’m a distant friend.
I’m Connie Champ’s youngest daughter, and I know our Mothers at one point were best friends.
The most vivid memory I have is picking strawberries with your mother and a couple of you when you were babies. It’s a sweet one. I only have kind memories of Lori.
I’m so sorry you’re going through this.
Hugs to you all,
Olivia

Christa Tutwiler - Sep 23, 2013

You don’t know me, but I worked with Lori and knew her by her caring reputation. But I had a chance to experience her compassion in action the night my husband coded in the ICU.
The code team was there, and as you can imagine, I couldn’t bring myself to leave the room. As they worked on my husband, Lori came over and put her arm around me and attended to my spiritual needs. I don’t know if she saw her role on the code team as that, or if she saw that enough people were there to take care of my husband, but she didn’t have to do that.
She could have very easily seen that my husband was attended to and left, but she didn’t. I know you know what an amazing person she was, but I wanted to share this with you, because it really made a difference to me.
