Louella Mae (Jones) Foss, 90, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 in Vancrest of Urbana.

She was born October 29, 1926 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph M. and Emma E. (Hornickel) Jones. Louella married Carl L. Foss Sr. December 2, 1944 in Urbana. She was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg and worked at Bulldog Electric, Charlie’s Restaurant in Mechanicsburg, and was also a nurse’s aide Mercy Memorial Hospital in Urbana. For many years, Louella and her sister, Ruth operated the Chuck Wagon based in Mutual. Together, they enjoyed traveling around to local fairs and festivals, as well as making many trips to Gatlinburg. As our hearts ache for the physical loss of her, we find solace knowing that she is now with God. She is at peace. And for that, we are grateful.

She is survived by her sons, Carl (Carolyn) Foss, Jr. and Paul (Connie) Foss; grandchildren, Beau (Kim) Foss, Eric (Katy) Foss, Andy (Kayla) Foss, Chaundra (Chris) Blizard and Sara Foss; her brother, Bill Jones; her sisters, Ruth Foss, Janet Burkes and Carol May; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Debby Dunham.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl L. Foss, Sr.; her brother, Clarence “Deak” Jones; and her sister, Helen Wheeler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in the SKILLMAN, McDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg with Father Matt Lee officiating. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service from 1-2 PM. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual.

Paul,
We know how difficult it is to lose a parent and we are so sorry for your loss. It was my pleasure to know Mrs. Foss. She was always so happy and such a jovial person.
You are in our thoughts.
