Lynn Edward Yocom, 84, of West Jefferson, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Prestige Nursing Home, Marysville, Ohio.

Lynn was born November 9, 1937 in Urbana, Ohio the son of the late Charles Truman and Thelma Christine (Malling) Yocom. Lynn was a graduate of Urbana High School, Class of 1955 where he earned the distinction of Valedictorian. He was a member of Cable Methodist Church. Lynn proudly served in the Ohio Air National Guard. He retired from Jefferson Lodge Mobile Home Park after 35 years. His passion was serving as a Herdsman for Don C. Power Jersey Farm for 15 years. Lynn enjoyed raising and showing jersey cows traveling to area shows, national jersey shows, county fairs and the Ohio State Fair. He is only the second person to breed two National Grand Champion Jerseys. Lynn was a member of the Miami Valley Jersey Association and the State of Ohio Jersey Association. He loved flowers; and in the summertime, you could find Lynn planting and working in his flower beds. For the past 50 years, he enjoyed meeting with the Sunday Morning West Jefferson Coffee group. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Lynn is survived by his sisters, Donna Dunham and Karen Holycross of in addition to several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; parents and by his brothers-in-law, Richard J. "Dick" Holycross and Melvin Dunham.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10-12 noon on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the funeral home with Pastor Rob Blosser officiating.

Burial will follow in OakDale Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.
