Marcella J. Dunham, 88 of Marysville, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 in the Memorial Gables, Marysville. She was born February 13, 1928 in Marysville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gerald and Ruth (Griffin) Simpson.
Marcella enjoyed reading, working in her flower gardens, and playing cards & games with her family. She was a member of the VFH Post 3320, the Eagles #3506, and the Moose, all in Marysville. Marcella was also a former member of the Four Seasons Garden Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Ann Lewis (Lawrence E. Brown), of Marysville; her son, Donald C. Dunham, of Marysville; her son-in-law, Mark Eades, of Woodstock; her grandchildren, Mark (Holly) Eades, of Plain City, Todd (Amy) Eades, of Marysville, Douglas (Kristen) Lewis, of Summerville, S.C., James (Guadalupe) Lewis, of Hilliard, and Kate (Jason) Ross, of Mansfield; her great-grandchildren, Michaela, Danielle, and Jacqueline Eades, Zachary and Emma Jean Eades, J. Gian Lewis, and Ava Catherine Ross; and her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Donald “Dick” Dunham; her parents; her daughter, Dorothy “Dee Dee” Eades; her brothers, Charles “Bud” (Anne) Simpson,Elmer (Dorothy) Simpson, and Norman Simpson; and her sister, Imo (Fred) Riley;
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 in FRESHWATER, McDONALD, & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the funeral home with Reverend Mimi Ault officiating. Burial will follow in Woodstock Cemetery.

Dixie, I was so sorry to hear about your mom. You and Brownie were so devoted to your mom. I’m very proud of you. She is finally at peace and with the rest of the Angels now. My mom passed away one year ago on the 28th too. Unreal…my sympathy to your family Dixie. If u need anything, I’m here for you.
Our deepest condolences to the family. Marcella was a really nice lady when i used to take care of Mark and Todd when they were smaller always enjoyed talking to her and her husband . They were very nice people . Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers
