July 20, 1965 - July 13, 2016
Mark E. Smith, 50, of North Lewisburg, passed away, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 due to the result of an automobile accident.
He was born July 20, 1965 in Madison, WI.
Mark was a 1983 graduate of Triad High School. He was employed with Peterson Construction as a brick mason and a member of the Brick Layers Local 55.
He was always willing to do anything for anyone and always willing to help out his community whenever he could. He coached baseball, advised 4-H, built the concession stand at the ball park and the dug outs at the new Triad High school baseball and softball fields. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, being I, Apollo’s biggest fan, spending time with his family, watching them play their sports and other activities and the University of Michigan football, GO BLUE!!
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Robin (Bostick) Smith; his children, Brennan Holt Smith (Brandy Nicole Enochs), Cole Logan Smith and Paxton Brooks Smith; his parents, Gary Lee & Annette (Rose) Smith; his brothers, Kurt (Elizabeth) Smith and Bret (Debbie) Smith; his his mother and father-in-law, Sharon & Howard Bostick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Riley E. and Mable (Browning) Rose, Arthur Smith and Cecil and Mary (Bumpus) Cobb.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2016 in the FRESHWATER, McDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 18, 2016 in the funeral home with Rev. Robert Custer officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for his daughter, Paxton, in care of the FRESHWATER, McDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, North Lewisburg, Ohio 43060.

So sorry for your tragic lost…. What a GREAT person he was from elementary school on up. I remember he always made you smile Robin…. I knew when attending Jenkins Chapel with you, he was the one for you 🙂 May God blanket your sorrows with His mighty arms of love and watch over you all during this very painful time….. We are so sorry for your loss, of your husband: father: brother: and son. God Bless and keep you in this difficult time. We always enjoyed it when we would see Mark. He was such a nice fiendly guy to our family. He will be missed by so many friends and neighbors of our small tight community.
