Mary Lou McCoy, 76, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Heartland of Bellefontaine.
She was born November 19, 1940 in Milford Center, Ohio, the daughter of Isaac W. and Jennie M. (Reames) Holycross.
Mary enjoyed playing all kinds of games especially cards and dice and in her spare time, she liked to complete puzzle books. Most of all, she cherished and loved her family unconditionally. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially a special grandson, Eric Shafer.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Lindy (Jamie) Bogardus, Cynthia (Phil) Thompson, Polly (David) Mohr and Jerrie (Stan) Shafer; her sons, John Tom McCoy and Duane McCoy; her 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; her sisters, Tempa (Delmar) Cox, Shirley Johnson and Ruth Ann Wooddell; her brothers, Donald (JoAnn) Holycross, Carroll Holycross and Darrel (Pat) Holycross; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends at Lakewood Manor who adored her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Agnes Murray, Betty Black and Alice Davis; and her brothers, Raymond, Charles and Aaron Holycross.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10AM-12PM on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in the FRESHWATER, McDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in the funeral home with Pastor Robin Ricks officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
