Mary E. Rausch (Boggs), 77 of Mechanicsburg, joined her loved ones with the Lord Thursday, August 19, 2010 in her residence.


She was born July 27, 1933 in Resacca, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Rebecca (Nickell) Boggs.


Mary married Leland J. Rausch on September 16, 1950 in Springfield. He passed away April 30, 1996. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marysville, a past member of the Mothers Memorial Circle and the Marysville VFW Post #3320. Mary retired from Ranco Controls in Plain City after 35 years of service. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed going to Las Vegas, the River Boats and traveling. Mary enjoyed playing euchre with her card club buddies, hours of reading and visiting the farm. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, beloved family and friends dearly. She will be missed by all.


She is survived by her son, Doug (Diann) Rausch of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Rene’ (Gary) Shonkwiler of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Heath (Shannon) Rausch, Leslie (Jeremy) Massie, Marlana Shonkwiler; great grandchildren, Taylor and Kendall Rausch, Connor and Toby Massie and PJ Shonkwiler; brothers, Bob (Stella)Boggs, David (Sandy) Boggs.


She is preceded in death by her loving parents; her wonderful husband; brother, James Boggs and ‘grandma’s baby’ Evan Paul Leland Rausch.


A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday, August 23, 2010 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Richard Aites officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to Community Mercy Hospice, 444 West Harding Rd., Springfield, OH 45504-9964 and the Mechanicsburg Firefighters Association, 18 North Main St., Mechanicsburg, OH 43044.
