Marylyn V. Griffin, 78, of North Lewisburg, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 4, 1937 in North Greenfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence Ellis and Mary Virginia (Singhaus) Bozman.
Marylyn enjoyed reading and needle point projects. She was a member of the Ladies AID, Hi-Point Music and she was a Brownie Leader.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Griffin; her sons, James (Donna) Griffin of Middleburg, Charles (Lori) Griffin of Middleburg; her daughters, Dianna (Michael) Moler of North Lewisburg, Victoria (Michael) Ray of Springfield, and Karen Poteet of North Lewisburg; her sister-in-law, Ida Mae Bozman of Bellefontaine; her 11 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; and her 24 nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Theresa Griffin and her brothers, James, Craig & Calvin Bozman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Jeremy Sarver officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Cook, Tyler Moler, Adam Griffin, Michael Griffin, David Griffin, James Poteet, and Eric Poteet.
