Melanie Jean VanHoose Adkins 40 years old, of Springfield passed away suddenly, Wednesday, November 26, 2008.
She was born October 10, 1968 in Urbana the daughter of Hansel “Hank” & Margaret Ann (Wheeler) VanHoose.
Melanie is survived by her mother, Margaret Ann VanHoose of Cable, her sisters, Melva (Rev. Frederick) Peterson of Piqua and Melody VanHoose of Troy and nephew Cody Peterson of Piqua. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Hansel VanHoose on June 19, 2008 and grandparents, Rev. Ray & Emma Wheeler and Millard & Lizzie VanHoose.
Melanie was a graduate of Triad High School and an avid clown collector.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home Mechanicsburg, Ohio. The Rev. Steve Hicks and Rev. Frederick Peterson will be presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mutual.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Skillman, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home, 257 W. Main St., Mechanicsburg, Ohio 43044.
