June 20, 1953 - April 30, 2017
Michael Garrison, 63, of North Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Mike was born June 20, 1953 in Marion, Ohio. He worked at Johnson Welded Products as a welder, and later retired as an inspector. Mike was an avid golfer with a passion for the game. He was a member of Liberty Hills Golf Club in Bellefontaine and spent lots of time on the golf course. When he wasnt golfing, Mike liked watching sports on TV, going to car races with his wife, and playing cards especially poker with his friends. Most of all, Mike loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and his crazy cat, TJ.
Mike is survived by his wife of 30 years, Anita Garrison; his son, David (Angela) Garrison; his daughter, Billi Holtsberry; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Grace, Brendyn, and Waylin; his sister, Carol (Richard) Bumgardner; his brother, Tom Garrison; and his niece, Hannah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mart and Myrtle (Smith) Garrison; his mother and father-in-law, Helen and John Cox; and his sister-in-law, Debbie (Cox) Moore.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2017 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 5, 2017 in the Funeral Home with Pastor Karen Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
