Myron D. "Mike" Hecker III, 66, of Springfield, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 in his home.
Mike was born February 2, 1956 in Urbana, Ohio the son of the late Myron D. and Barbara (Zimmerman) Hecker II. He was a graduate of Urbana High School. Mike retired from Honeywell/ Grimes. He enjoyed gardening, motorsports, football, slot cars, gaming, camping, bird watching and spending time with his cat, Bennie.
Mike is survived by his wife, Lois (Bingham) Hecker; children, Heidi (Bob) Stewart, Gretchen (David) Raines and Myron (Jessica) Hecker IV; grandchildren, Sidney Easter, Renee Raines, Taylor Raines, Grace Fulco and Morgan Stewart; siblings, Eric (Karen) Hecker, Cherie Black, Tina (Ron) Anderson, Betsy Hecker and Lisa Hecker as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rex "Rick" Hecker; nieces and nephew, Ricky Hecker, Brooke Sizemore and Brandee Anderson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio. Celebration of Life service will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Wayne LeMay officiating.
