Nancy Sue King, 77, of Springfield, passed away, Monday, January 2, 2012 in her home.
She was born March 18, 1934 in West Liberty, the daughter of LeRoy and Ethel Ruth (Bedell) Siegenthaler.
Nancy retired as a nurse after 20 years of service with Green Hills Community. She was a member of Elderly United, the Emmaus Community and the Northridge United Methodist Church in Springfield; where she was involved with the Choir and the Young at Heart Group. Nancy enjoyed gardening, vacationing in Myrtle Beach, spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Edward King; her daughter, Vanessa D. (Jerome) Voris; her son, Gregory (Karen) King; her grandchildren, Christopher (Alisa) Stewart, Staci Masem, Amber King (A.J. Evans), Ashley (Kyle) Doggett and Abby (Justin Deere); great grandchildren, Kyli and Alex Stewart, Destiney and Makayla Cole, Shelbie Masem and Kenneth Holden Evans; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Wilma R. Siegenthaler and her brothers, Vaughn and Stanley R. Siegenthaler.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in the Vernon Funeral Home, 235 Miami St., Urbana.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2012 in the Northridge United Methodist Church with Pastor Ken L. Woode officiating.
Private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience in Highland Cemetery, West Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Northridge United Methodist Church 4610 Derr Rd., Springfield, Ohio 45503.
