Pam Violet-Nixon, of Mechanicsburg died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Memorial Hospital of Union County. She is the daughter of Charlie and Opal (Jordan) Violet and lived most of her life in the Mechanicsburg area.

Pam was an avid Buckeye fan and is hopefully having discussion now with Coach Hayes. She always supported her kids and grandkids in all the athletic competitions and dreams.

Pam is survived by her children; Steve (Cindy) Nixon of Pataskala, Peggy (Shayne) Sparks and Randy (Michelle Hoermle) Nixon of Mechanicsburg; five grandkids, CJ, Ryan and Bebo Nixon of Pataskala, Mallory Sparks and Ubu Johnson of Mechanicsburg. Also surviving her is her Mother, Opal; sister, Dorothy Moore, brother, Don (Helen) Violet of Urbana and brother, John (Dee) Violet of Urbana. She also leaves behind very special friends, Wally Sparrow and Lanny Moore and a second family at The Goshen Eagles.

Proceeding her in death is her Father, Charles Violet; and husband, Terry Nixon.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 in the Skillman, McDonald and Vernon funeral home, Mechanicsburg. Eagles Auxillary Services will start the celebration of life service at 6:00 p.m. following the visitation in the funeral home.

Pam has asked that everyone come dressed in their finest Ohio State Buckeyes gear. Following the services family and friends are invited to the Goshen Eagles for a gathering to celebrate Pam’s life.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in care of Skillman, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home, 257 West Main Street, Mechanicsburg, OH 43044.

Following Pam wishes her body will be cremated.

Hi this is.Sharon. I.was.looking pam.up and.found.she.had.passed.
I.met.her.through the Apollo.studios. She.came.out.several times as a promoter my.c.d finished she.told.me.she.wanted my.name in lights. Im sorry she.didnt make.it.to.see.that. She.was.wonderful.I.had.left the.state.in 2008 getting.ready to.come back and.found this. IM.SORRY.
