Ramon E. Johnson, 84 of Estero FL, passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice on Sunday April 30, 2017. He was born on February 27, 1933 in Findlay, OH a son of the late Homer F. Johnson and Dorothy Stanley Johnson.
Ramon graduated from The Ohio State University dental school and practiced many years in Urbana, Ohio. He was a member of Urbana United Methodist Church and a long time Rotarian. He did mission work in Jamaica, Haiti, Mexico and India. He loved to travel the world, play golf as much as possible and was an avid gardener as well as a big Ohio State fan.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Johanna, and his children Christine Ann (Robert) Harmison, Randall (Carole) Johnson, Paula (Michael) Kertes, all of Ohio and Brian (Kristen) Johnson of South Carolina, as well as his grandchildren, Jenna Harmison, Ryan, Neil and Jason Johnson, Hannah Kertes and Evan and Hayden Johnson.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Combs.
Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Urbana United Methodist Church, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M., with the Reverend Jim Lillibridge officiating.
