Raymond “Ray” Russell Seymour Sr., 71, of Marysville passed away March 25, 2016 in his home.
He was born September 6, 1944. Ray spent some time working as a truck driver and was known for being a great diesel mechanic. He was also the owner of Seymour Excavation. Ray enjoyed socializing with friends and could often be found at the 559 Cafe or the Marysville Waffle House. He had a very soft heart when it came to animals and was a very loyal friend.
Ray is survived by his son, Raymond (Lori) Seymour, Jr. of Pellcity, AL; granddaughters, Reane (Jay) Recher, Lisa (Stephen) Farmer, and Amanda Seymour (Fiance, Johnny Chergotakos); great grandchildren, Austin Farmer, Braxton Chergotakos, and Zavier Recher; sister, Virginia (Spike) Goings of Bellefontaine; as well as numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell & Sarah (Holt) Seymour and his brother, Harry Seymour.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg with Rev. Ray Boggs, Jr. officiating.
