September 4, 1946 - February 26, 2017
Richard “Dick” Lynn Jordan, 70 of St. Paris, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family.
Dick was born September 4, 1946 in Piqua, Ohio. He was a graduate of Graham High School.
Dick proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He had been employed by Hobarts in Troy, Ohio and also worked for the Urbana YMCA. He attended Grace Bible Church in Springfield, Ohio. He enjoyed training dogs, hunting and fishing; but most importantly was his family.
Dick is survived by his wife, Rose Mary (Ward) Jordan; children, Becky Jordan, Melissa Bousquette, Dennis (Holly) Jordan and William Peters; siblings, Marilyn “Mitzi” Knull, John (Shirley) Jordan and by Dick’s twin brother, Robert “Bobby” (Barbara) Jordan; 10 grandchildren in addition to several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Portia (Sullenberger) and James Jordan, by his first wife, Brenda (Gearhart) Jordan and beloved brother-in-law, Phil Knull.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in the funeral home with Pastor Marv Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in Myrtle Tree Cemetery, St. Paris, Ohio.
