Robert “Moon Dog” Allaman, 53 of Urbana, passed away, Saturday, October 16, 2010 due to the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born June 30, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio.
Bob served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid motorcycle rider, he liked spring car & drag racing and he was a great mechanic. He enjoyed the outdoors and canoeing. Bob was a loving and caring father to 11 children.
He is survived by his mother, Ethel JoAnne (Stacey) Giovanniello of FL, his daughter, Dawn Faron of IN, Danielle Beard of Sidney, Amber Allaman of IN, Michelle Allaman of Urbana, Bobbie Rice-Hartzell of Piqua, Mindy Allaman of Medway and Denise Allaman of Springfield, his sons, Joshua Allaman of Piqua, Jeremy Allaman of IN, Justin Allaman of Enon and Jason Allaman of New Carlisle, 20 grandchildren; his sister, Vicki Van Camp of FL, and his brothers, Stephen Costa of FL and Mike Loffing of Urbana; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends including, the mother of his children, Christy Repik of Medway, her mother, Shirley Wilson of Springfield and his best friend since high school, Kelly Friederich of Medway.
Bob is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Glynn and his grandson, Hunter Allaman
A gathering of family and friends will be held 12 – 1p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will begin at 1:00p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Leiker officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery in Urbana. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Pearce-Kerns Post 120.
