Robert Cantrell 75 of London, passed away, Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in Mt. Carmel West, Columbus, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 9, 1933 in Oil Springs, KY the son of the late Amos and Clara (Conley) Cantrell.
Bob served his country in the United States Army. He was employed for 36 years at Orleton Farm. He enjoyed animals, especially horses and was an avid sports fan, who loved football and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda (Snyder) Cantrell, his daughters, Robin (Larry) Lawrence of Plain City, Brenda Cantrell of London & Tina Townsend of Delaware, his son, Scot (Bonnie) Cantrell of Plain City, his 6 grandchildren, Wendi (Chris), Josh, Chayton, Amy Jo, Chris & Jenny, 5 great grandchildren, Aaron, Caleb, Karleigh, Allie & Emily, his brother, Bill (Betty) Cantrell of Marion, OH, his mother and father-in-law, Jenny & Marion Porter of Mechanicsburg, as well as, several nieces & nephews.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers & 3 sisters.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2009 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home Mechanicsburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Blaine Keene officiating.
Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
