Robert ”Bob” ”Fatso” Holbrook, 56 of Springfield, passed away, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in his home.
He was born January 24, 1957 in Urbana, Ohio to Sylvan M. ”Rawhide” and Janet Joy (Allison) Holbrook. Bob was a graduate of Triad High School and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Bob loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for always helping others. His survivors include; Terra Lynne Holbrook-McGinnis of Seminary, MS, Jill Holbrook (Charlie Roberts) of Springfield, J.D. (Alisha) Holbrook of Springfield, Jordan Holbrook and Jaylin Holbrook of Springfield; his grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Allister, Ayrron, Dessa, Marissa, Hallie, Zoey and Brantley; his sisters, Rhonda (Lewis) Crawford of Urbana & Betsy (Don) Collins of Mingo, his brothers, Jim (Vivian) Holbrook of Altamonte Springs, Florida and Lenny (Patti) Holbrook of Springfield, 8 nieces & nephews and 5 great nieces & nephews. Many great friends as well as his friends of Bill W.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvan and Janet Holbrook.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. A celebration of life service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Military honors will be provided by the Pearce-Kerns American Post # 120. Per family request casual dress, no ties required. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
