Robert “Bobby” L. Stonerock, 74, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Springfield Regional Medical Center.


He was born May 8, 1941 in Ashville, OH. Bobby was a member of New Beginning Fellowship Full Gospel Church. He was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed remodeling houses. Bobby helped at Sis’s Restaurant in Catawba and became quite the noodle maker. He liked to garden, especially growing large tomatoes. Bobby was a “jack of all trades” and would do anything to help anyone.


He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Roberta (Knox) Stonerock; daughter, Rebecca (Steve) Sullivan of Mechanicsburg; his Yorkies, Ally & Sally; several brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews; special thanks to nieces, Nancy Lange & Elizabeth Price, and Bobby’s buddies, Tom & Gary Knox for their loving care and support.


A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg with Pastor Robert Knox officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in McConkey Cemetery, Catawba.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
