Roger Edward Frazier, 71 of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
He was born December 12, 1947 in Bellefontaine, Ohio the son of Milum M. and Faye (Bayes) Frazier. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army. Roger was a 1967 graduate of Triad High School. He was a member of AMVETS 121, VFW Urbana, Machinist of Springfield, Union Club of Springfield and Eagles of Springfield. He was a volunteer at Vancrest and helped with wheelchair square dancing. Roger enjoyed line dancing and had a DJ company called "Blazin" DJ he enjoyed singing and would often sing with Vicki Edwards, their favorite song was the Leader of the Pack. He loved going to the shady bowl, spending time with people but most of all going to his grandkids sports.
Roger is survived by his wife, Mildred Frazier; son, Matt (Sonja) Frazier; step children, Beverly Steagall, Brenda (Jerry) Vander Mey, Peggy Lyons, Albert "Bud" Watts, Floyd E. (Ruth) Watts and Charles L. Watts; sister, Gracie (Melvin) Holycross; 12 grandchildren, including, Bryce, Bailie and Brett; 13 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including, Carrie, David, Chrissie, Cathy and Curt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Martha M. Fraley and Jane C. Frazier and nephew, Melvin "Peanut" McGill.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, January, 3, 2019 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 4, 2019 in the Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Mike Grable officiating. Burial will follow in Somerford Cemetery, London, Ohio.
