Visitation Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at Vernon Funeral Home
Ruby Adams, 60 of Urbana passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born December 19, 1956 in Urbana, Ohio the daughter of Albert and Ruby M. (Funk) Adams. Ruby enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening and was very excited about going camping in the New Year with her grandbabies. Most of all she loved spending time with family especially her grandbabies.
My Mom loved her family first. She held her grandbabies up with love that was truly unmatched. Her devotion to the people in her life was like no other, and everyone know that she would be there without hesitation. She was loyal and had integrity most everyone desires. She was hardworking and took pride in her 38 years with Honeywell. She loved her friends and the adventures they all went on, especially Jane and Jim Garvin, Candy Bostick, and Rosemary Stimmel. She loved and was loved in return because she made it easy to do. She was always firm in her beliefs and made sure we knew that no matter what we stood for she was by our side.
Ruby is survived by her mother, Ruby M. (Funk) Adams; daughter, Kelsey (Joseph) Anderson; grandchildren, Janie Wallace and Max Anderson; brothers, Jerry (Theresa) Adams, Pete Adams, Rick (Sandy) Adams, Robin (Lori) Adams, Neil (Danielle) Adams and Tim Adams; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her father, Albert Adams; brother, Charles Adams and nephew, Curtis Adams.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME; where the Ladies of the Moose will hold a carnation ceremony at 7:00 p.m.

Sending prayers to family and friends. She will be missed.
Worked with Ruby off and on since 1985. She was a “delight”. I’m so sorry for your loss. Know that she will be missed greatly.
I knew Ruby through my business. I helped her out with her laptop just a few months back. I saw the obituary online and just wanted to reach out and send my condolences. We had only recently met, but I could tell she cared a lot about her family.
So sorry for your loss Kelsey! She was my good friend for many years! Very sorry to hear this.
My heart goes out to you all, family and close friends like family. I have known Ruby since we were kids. I considered her a friend and I think she felt the same. I usually greeted her with “hey Rube, how ya doing honey baby sweety pie?” It always made her smile. It is so sad to have to say goodbye. I will miss her. God bless you all. I pray you find your way through this terrible time and find peace. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Deb Lowe
My condolences to your family. Ruby was a great person to be around and work with at Grimes. May God peace be with the family.
