January 25, 1988 - April 14, 2017
Samantha Marie Neff, 29, of Urbana, Ohio passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 in her home.
Sammy was born January 25, 1988 to Letitia Anne Neff and Ethan F. Lynum. She lived in Urbana with her parents, Letitia and Tim Nelson, who loved her with all of their hearts, along with her beloved siblings, Chanel Nicole Neff and David Lee Neff, who always loved her, cared for her and had great adventures with her. We are all heartbroken in our loss of her. Sammy was the personification of Joy and love. She shined with the brightest light. Everyone was a friend to her. Everyone was loved by her. She was fearless in spirit and giving by nature.
Sammy enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved music, books, movies and surfing the Internet. She also loved to swim, boat, fish and camp. She loved caring for people and animals. She loved roller-coasters and street fairs, concerts and drive-in movies. She loved family gatherings and being with friends. She loved watching the stars and she believed in magic. She believed she was made of mermaids and pixies and we who loved her believed in her magic.
Sammy was a 2009 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and Madison-Champaign ESC. After graduating she interned for a year with Project Search before beginning her career with Downsize Farm. She thrived with her second family at Downsize Farm. She loved her work, her opportunities and her place in the community. Most of all, she loved the people.
Her family misses her very much and asks on her behalf to hug a little longer, always give love and cherish the time you have. Also, try a little magic now and then. Our loss is immeasurable.
She loved us an eternity’s worth and we will carry her with us always.
Sammy embarks on her next journey saying goodbye for now and see you again to her sister, Chanel, her brother, David, her parents, Letitia and Tim and her father, Ethan, her sisters in life, Courtney Nelson Baird ( Michael, sons, Aiden, Owen and Liam) and Kelsey Nelson in addition to “Grandpa” Dallas and “Grandma” Renee; grandfathers, Thomas E. Words cannot express the heartache I feel at learning of Sammy’s passing. I think she’s taken a piece of my heart with her. I’ll always remember and cherish her sweet personality and fun nature. She was always so kind and sensitive to others and wanted everyone to be happy. Seeing her at the Farm participating in all our activities and bringing smiles to others was always a special part of my days while I worked at the Farm. It’s still hard to believe I’ve been gone for 5 years now…It always seems like I was just there yesterday. I know nothing can take away the pain of losing this dear sweet angel, but know she would want nothing but happy happy joy joy for all of us. My thoughts and prayers to you.
We are so sorry to hear about Sammy! She was such a sweet girl! Our prayers and thoughts are with your whole family!
