SARA ANNETTE (WESTFALL) KEERAN died March 12, 2011. She was born September 25, 1925.
Annette, as she was known to family and friends, was born in North
Lewisburg to Ralph and Margaret Westfall, and lived all of her life in
North Lewisburg and Bellefontaine. She graduated from North Lewisburg High School in 1943 and briefly attended Ohio State and UCLA. She married Robert Lee Keeran in 1946. Besides being a homemaker and mother, she worked as a Welcome Wagon Hostess and later at Westinghouse as an inspector. She was a founding member of the Logan County Humane Society. She was known for her musical talents, and sang at many locations, as well as playing piano at a local restaurant for many years.
She is survived by her sons Jerry and Robin, his wife Kathi, her
granddaughters, Meghan and Amanda, her brother John Westfall and his wife Alice Westfall of North Lewisburg, her brother Ralph David Westfall and his wife Barbara Peters of Greensboro, NC, her sister Rosemary Smith of Urbana, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Lee Keeran, who passed away in January, 2011.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 in the Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a local humane society, PAWS of Urbana, or other animal rescue organization of your choice.
