Sharon Longberry, 62, of North Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, February 27,
2016 in The Gables at Green Pastures, Marysville.
She was born September 27, 1953 in Marysville, Ohio. Sharon was a graduate of
Triad High School. She enjoyed reading, her flowers and attending her grandkids
sporting events. Her passion was caring for children over the years in her home;
her door was always open to all. But most of all, Sharon loved her family and
spending time with them.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Longberry; her mother, Alice
Arlene (Ferryman) Phelps, her children, Nicole Marie Lee and Tyson Ray
Longberry; her son-in-law, Kevin Thomas, her grandchildren, whom she adored,
Jalen and Jevin Edley, Hannah and Jenna Longberry, Trae Kiss and Damian,
Cameron & Caleb Thomas, a great granddaughter, Maleah Edley; brothers, Gary
(Stephanie) Phelps, Dennis Phelps, Steven (Connie) Phelps, and Doug (Amelia)
Phelps; sisters, Pamela Spain, Judy Jackson, Linda Rutan and Alicia (Carl) Davis,
and numerous nieces and nephews of several generations.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert M. Phelps, her daughter, Amy
Michelle Longberry and grandson, Jordan Edley.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday,
March 1, 2016 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON funeral home, North
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in the
funeral home with Rev. Karen Montgomery officiating.
Burial will follow Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of
the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON funeral home, 57 W. Maple St., North
Lewisburg, Ohio 43060.

My condolences to your lose of Sharon. Sharon’s passing shows us just how fleeting time is. I have not seen either one of you since May of 1971. Sad! One of these days, I am moving back to Ohio to see my old friends.
