Stephen Carter, 71 of North Lewisburg, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in the Miami Valley Hospital.

Steve was born February 18, 1950 in Urbana, Ohio the son of the late Roscoe and Ivalou (Orahood) Carter. He was a 1968 graduate of Triad High School. Steve owned and operated the Carter Auto Service for more than 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed camping, fishing and mushroom hunting. In the past, he loved racing cars.

Steve is survived by his wife, Linda Carter; daughter, Chastity Carter Williams (Craig Rees); grandson, Carter W. Rees; father and mother-in-law, Sherman & Delores Watkins; sister, Cathy Kennedy; brother, Jerry (Jodi) Carter; sister-in-law, Sharon Maxam (Jack Bailey) as well as many special friends and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Leonard Kennedy.

Services to be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements entrusted to FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg, Ohio.

We are so heartbroken to hear of Steve's passing. He was a friend and always did whatever he could to help you. We are glad we got to spend time with him in the month before he passed.
