June 1, 1961 - December 9, 2016
Tammi L. Evans, 55 of St. Paris, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday, December 9, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Tammi was born June 1, 1961 in Paintsville, Kentucky the daughter of Calvin Howard and Mabel “Sue” (Slone) Hess. She was involved as a midwife for Primetime Show Pigs and was dedicated to The Relay for Life (her team, Tammi’s TaTa Trotters), Metastatic Breast Cancer Research, and March of Dimes. Tammi enjoyed playing Bingo and her greatest love in life was her family. She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She took great enjoyment swinging in her swing and watching her grandkids play, always looking forward to the Holidays when all her family would be together. She loved to see her friends and family smile and always put others before herself. Tammi was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. As our hearts ache for the physical loss of her, we will find solace knowing that she is at peace and for that we are grateful.
Tammi is survived by her husband of 38 years, Michael Ted Evans; mother, Sue Hess and by her stepmother and stepfather, Phyllis and Jim Spang; her children, Kim Evans Nave, Amanda Evans and Billy ( Malissa) Evans; grandchildren, Austyn, Hunter, Tucker, Braden, Brody, Zane, Adalyn and Jayden; her siblings, Terri Stanley, Michelle ( Jason ) Meade, Vicki (Steve) Howard, Tina Howard; her “4 legged babies”, Banjo and Bandit; numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Calvin Howard, stepfathers, Roger Hess and Jim Welch and sister, Constance Marie Howard.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 with Pastor Mike Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. My sincere condolences to the Evans family and those who knew and loved Tammi on your loss. May these words of Revelation 21:4 give you a measure of comfort and strength to endure during this time of grief and deep sorrow.
Dear Howard Family,
We are thinking of you at this difficult time. Praying that God will carry you through! And that you will cherish the wonderful memories you have of Tammi and that your hurting heart will heal soon.

I had hoped we would have been able to come, we have experienced a lot of stress lately ourselves. I also want to say I will always remember and cherish meeting the Evans family. They didn’t know me from Adam, but took me into their circle and made me a part of their lives. Love you Tammi, I will miss you most

I am truly sorry for your loss. The Evans family has always been a joy to be around. There were lots of smiles and laughs with Kim, Amanda, and Billy when growing up. I always remember Tammi being laid back and the nicest mom to be around. She is in a good place. May The Lord bring you peace and comfort during your time of loss and grief.
