Tom Riley, 54, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 26, 1955 in Urbana, OH, the son of Charles E. and Martha F. (Carter) Riley.
Tom was a lifelong resident of Mechanicsburg and was a 1974 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. He was a member of Mechanicsburg Christian Fellowship Church. Tom enjoyed training horses with his dad and coaching girls softball and basketball. He was an all-around Handy Man. Tom loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Robin (Comer); daughters, Christy (Chris) Riley-Conley of Mechanicsburg and Lori (John) Riley-Good of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Aaron and Emily Conley and soon-to-arrive grandson, Thomas Michael Good; sister, Marilyn S. (Sam) Faulkner of Mechanicsburg; brother, Charles E (Connie) Riley and Jerry L. Riley both of Mechanicsburg; sister-in-law, Elaine Riley of Mechanicsburg; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy Rowe and brother, Kenneth E. Riley.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010 in the Mechanicsburg Christian Fellowship Church. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday in the church with Pastor Linden Good officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Services have been entrusted to SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.
