Vincent N. “Jim” Nobile, 65 of North Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, September 04, 2010 in his home, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born March 27, 1945 in Buffalo, NY the son of Frank A. and Josephine M. (Alfano) Nobile.
Jim was a retired carpenter and still enjoyed using his carpentry skills around the house. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of North Lewisburg.
He enjoyed wood working, landscaping, bird watching and technology. Most of all he loved spending time with his girls and celebrating their accomplishments in life.
Jim is survived by his wife of 23 years, Annette (Bilotta) Nobile, his daughters, Toni Marie Nobile of Buffalo, NY and Victoria Nicole Nobile of North Lewisburg, his grandson, Joseph E. Nobile, his sister, Jo Ann (Russell) Scalzi of Hamburg, NY, a brother, Franklin M. Nobile of Buffalo; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; a beloved friend, Ginger Robbins of Buffalo, NY and lifelong friend, Hank Morgan of Buffalo, NY.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Tina Marie Nobile, and his sister, Anne Szaturski.
Jim’s family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care provided to him by Dr. Timothy Coss, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, the ACC Staff at the Memorial Hospital of Union County and to the Loving Care Hospice staff.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, September 6, 2010 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in the Immaculate Conception Church, North Lewisburg, with the Rev. Larry Gearhart officiating. Burial will follow in Jenkins Chapel Cemetery.
