Virginia Evelyn Williams, 95, of Mechanicsburg, passed away, Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in her home with her family by her side. She was born September 14, 1917 in Marysville, Ohio and graduated from Marysville High School. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her neighbors and growing & tending to her flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with they are as follows; John (Christa)Williams of Mechanicsburg, Tonya Williams of Springfield, Chris (Tony) Burge of Springfield, Betsy (Charlie) Hurst of Mechanicsburg, Jamie (Terry) Tull of Mechanicsburg, Marco (Tammy)Williams of Springfield and Adrian (Lesha)Williams of Springfield; her great-grandchildren, Kyle & Cameron Williams, Skylor, Colton, & Paynton Knapp, Keith, Dillon, & Jacob Hurst, Jenna & Natalie Tull, Logan Williams and DeAnna Craft, as well as a special dear friend, officer Rick Corey with the Mechanicsburg Police Department. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter O. and Cecil Evelyn (Mosley) Reames; her husband, Pershing ”Bud” Williams, her sons, James & John Williams, her brother Wendell Reames and her sisters, Marie & Lois. A gathering of family and friends will be held from2- 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Scott Salee officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Serving as pall bearers: John Williams Jr., Kyle Williams, Skylor Knapp, Dillon Hurst, Charlie Hurst, Terry Tull, Adrian Williams and Tony Burge.
