Wayne E. Turner, 36, of Lakeview, passed away on December 24, 2013 in Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.

He was born June 30, 1977 in Bellefontaine, OH and was a graduate of Triad High School. He was currently employed with Storms Trucking and had previously worked as a mechanic with his brother. Wayne loved Harley motorcycles and working on his friends and others bikes.

He is survived by his parents, Rex Turner of Belle Center and Janice Charlene (Van Hoose) Turner of Lakeview; his fiance, Ashley Barcus; his children, Summer Boitnott and Harlyn Barcus; sisters, Christy (Jason) Woodruff of Mutual and Regina Hall of Lakeland, FL; brother, Richie (Allysia) Turner of West Milton; 9 nieces and nephews; 1 great niece; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norman & Bobbie Turner and Harry & Delores Van Hoose; sister, Rebecca Lynn Turner; nephew, Jade Allen Michael Turner.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2013 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the Mechanicsburg Freewill Baptist Church with Pastors Jesse Walters and Mark Hackworth officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.vernonfh.com.

Food donations may be dropped off at the Mechanicsburg Freewill Baptist Church, 45 Oakland St., Mechanicsburg, OH 43044 starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Donations may also be delivered to the home of Christy (Turner) Woodruff or Christina “Tina” Wells.
