Wiley T. Risen, 77, of Urbana, passed this life, Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in the Kobacker House, Columbus with his family by his side.

He was born April 7, 1934 in Lexington, KY the son of the late Wiley T. and Sallie (King) Risen.

Wiley retired from Ultra-Met in Urbana after 32 years of service. He was a lifelong member of the Motorcycle Association.

He is survived by his loving wife, with whom he spent 42 years Mary “Maggie” (Hannah) Risen, his sons, Wiley T. Risen, Greg & Chris VanVoorhis, his daughters, Cheryl (Mark) Rinehart and Lora Cushman; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Risen, Emmaline (Alex) Burnett, Megan (Zach) Bostick, Tylor, Alli & Taylor Lough, Matt, Samantha & Drew VanVoorhis, Emily, Betsy & Sara VanVoorhis, 5 great grandchildren, his sister, Margaret (Lucien) Hisel; several nieces, nephews and a special friend, Herb Heinrichs.
Wiley is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, George, Henry Lewis and Joe Risen, his sisters, Lillian Roth, Frankie Teater and Nellie Looney and his beloved dog, Gidget.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 on Friday, November 18, 2011 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011 in the funeral home with Pastor Clay Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
Serving as pallbearers; Chris VanVoorhis, Matt VanVoorhis, Mark Rinehart, Mike Stradling, Mike Wiseman, Randy Blakley, Tony Quickle and Alex Burnett.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kobacker House, 800 McConnell Dr. Columbus, Ohio 43214.
