I considered Bill a friend and was honored to serve with him on the UU Board of Trustees. He was a great friend of our institution. It’s nice to see his name every time I drive onto campus.
I was saddened to learn of the death of my friend Bill. We spent many hours together in many meetings of the City and Regional Planning Commissions over a period of 30 years. I highly valued his thoughts, suggestions and recommendations. May you find comfort in knowing that many other people held him in high esteem.
I am so sorry that the world has lost such a fine man. As an employee of Urbana University, I had great respect for Mr. Edwards. He was indeed a man who gave and gave and gave to his community. I’ll keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
