William “Bill” P. King, 79, passed away, Sunday, October 06, 2013 in the Springfield Masonic Communities.
He was born November 21, 1933 in Mechanicsburg and was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School.
Bill was owner and operator of The Bazaar in Mechanicsburg. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Lodge # 113 F. & A. M. for over 50 years, Caroline Chapter Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years and the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his nieces, Judith (Wayne) Thomas of La Grange, IL and Jane (Thomas) Newman of Wheaton, IL; his nephew, Thomas Clime of Sunbury, OH; many great & great-great nieces and nephews; as well as his cousin, Janice Shuck of Galion, OH.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Martha (Chet) Clime and his niece, Peggy Hare.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Harley Roston officiating. A private graveside service was held at the convenience of the family at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
Services are entrusted to SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 42 N. Main St, Mechanicsburg, OH 43044. Bill was an inspiration to me while I attended the Methodist Basement Community Men’s Fellowship/Breakfast on Saturday Mornings. His spiritual impact will be missed.Jesus can now use Him to accomplish new tasks in Heaven. Phil. 4:6-7
