Willis Justice, 87, formerly of Urbana and currently of Wheelersburg, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth Ohio.
He was born February 22, 1925 in Old Town, Kentucky, the son of the late Joe and Elizabeth ”Lizzie” (Brown) Justice.
Willis was employed at Grimes Manufacturing for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and at Indian Lake fishing on the pontoon. Willis loved to go fishing, frog gigging, and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed sitting around the pond in Kentucky while telling fishing stories.
He is survived by his sons, Ival (Wanda) Justice and Tony Justice, both of Urbana; grandchildren, Jeff Justice, Robin (Phil) McMahill, Gail (Mark) Hannahs, Tonia (Kyle) Bray, and Amy (Kevin) Stone; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Justice, James, Tim, and David McMahill, Dalton, Spencer, and Claire Hannahs, Kristen (Brian) Vincent, Anthony Swan, and Kali, Loren, and Addison Ropp; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Joe (Linda) Justice, Jr. of South Shore, Kentucky; sister, Geraldine Wolfe of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jordan Justice; his parents; his great-granddaughter, Nichole Marie McMahill; his brothers, Everett and Harold Justice; and his sisters, Wilma Ross, Pauline Rice; Mildred Justice, and Juanita Conley.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 4-7p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at SKILLMAN, MCDONALD, & VERNON FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services to celebrate Willis’ life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 in the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Weill officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
