Zita Marie Middleton
Zita Marie Middleton 61 of Urbana, crossed over into the arms of her Lord and her parents on Saturday, August 22, 2009.
Zita was born September 14, 1947 in Champaign county the daughter of the late Lucille E. (Gregg) and John E. Middleton.
Zita leaves to cherish her memory, a sister, Jane (David) Runyan of Bellefontaine, her brothers, “John” Jack (Janet) Middleton of Mechanicsburg & Marion (Toby) Middleton of Cable; 6 devoted and loving nieces, several great nieces & nephews, her aunt, Frieda Ober of Urbana, as well as, numerous cousins and many friends.
Zita’s life was Lawnview School, Workshop and CRSI Day Hab. She loved all of the activities that Lawnview had to offer. She participated in horseback riding offered through Yellow Springs Riding Club, Lawnview Camp held at her parent’s farm and her church. Zita was a sweet & loving religious child of God. She was a lifelong member of the Cable United Methodist Church. When she attended on Sunday she loved to fellowship and sing the hymns.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation to the CRSI Program and CRSI Scioto Street Women’s Home staff where Zita resided for the past 3 years. The staff and “family” were truly “Angels” in our time of need. We could not ask for greater support and love.
Zita also leaves behind a special friend and teacher, Chuck Evans that was diligently by her side as she was making her journey and her second “Ma Ma”, Clem, whom she dearly loved.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in the Cable United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joyce McKeever officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Jenkins Chapel Cemetery, Cable, Ohio.
